Aestus personnel performed our GeoTrax SurveyTM to determine the location of the fresh/salt water interface at a coastal site in Texas (see aerial photo). Multiple surveys were performed to track how this interface migrated over time. A significant rainfall event occurred midway through this series of surveys. The GeoTrax SurveyTM results demonstrated that this interface migrated toward the ocean, following the influx of fresh water from the precipitation event.
This particular survey demonstrates our ability to track a fresh/salt water interface without the need to install and sample numerous monitoring wells. We have automated our technology to provide real-time information to facilitate better management practices. |
