See the Solution with GeoTrax SurveyTM Technology Overview

The Aestus GeoTrax SurveyTM is a tool that may be employed similar to the medical industry’s use of the MRI or CAT Scan.  Aestus’ survey techniques provide our clients with a better tool to solve complex problems involving the subsurface of the earth. The GeoTrax SurveyTM delivers an image of the subsurface that is continuous and explicit in nature.

This continuous imaging process provides a better understanding of the subsurface relative to the traditional approach of a number of discrete data points (i.e., monitoring wells – see Figure 1 below). Better knowledge of the subsurface (see Figure 2 below) allows our clients to make better business decisions regarding their sites.

GeoTrax SurveyTM vs. Conventional Investigation
Conventional Subsurface Investigation Program

Data from a typical borehole investigation:
  • Soil classifications from drill cuttings or cores
  • Subjective interpretations between data points/borings
  • Groundwater levels and characteristics
  • Presence/absence and thickness of LNAPL/DNAPL at the well location
Aestus GeoTrax SurveyTM Investigation
    Our Aestus GeoTrax SurveyTM
  • Provides a much more complete subsurface image. Existing subsurface information can be added to our images to further improve site subsurface knowledge.
  • Can confirm the presence or absence of subsurface issues such as aquitard layers, tanks, fugitive oil, debris, and/or other site features or impediments.
  • Our GeoTrax Survey™ images can be used to guide future investigations or assess remediation efforts already underway.
  • Better knowledge of the subsurface allows our clients to make better business decisions regarding their sites.
